TouchDC.org Web Site and Media Campaign

In November 2002, a broad coalition of nonprofit umbrella organizations, funders, and media partners came together to encourage citizens in the Washington region to become regular donors to local nonprofit organizations providing critical services here in our community. The TouchDC.org web site and media campaign continue to educate the community on the vital role area nonprofits play in all our lives as well as to provide a safe and convenient way for individuals to support these organizations.

Joining the Campaign

Here's how your organization can be a part of this important Campaign:

  1. Update Your Organization's Listing with GuideStar

GuideStar maintains a complete list of all public charities and powers the TouchDC charity search. Organizations with updated listings are listed first in the charity search results and current information about your organization will help donors make wise giving decisions.

  2. Accept Donations on Your Organization's Web Site

Network for Good provides "Donate Now" buttons for use on a nonprofit's web site and provides donation activity reports.

  3. Track Online Donations to Your Organization

  4. Post Your Volunteer Opportunities Using VolunteerMatch
